Ruger (aka Gus) von Gusher is a very handsome 4 year old German Shepherd mix. This big guy is definitely a working dog who needs a home that provides mental and physical stimulation – and a lot of love.  Well-trained Ruger knows his basic commands and then some:  sit, down, stay, shake, sit pretty, leave it, spin, heel, place and watch.  He’s Mr. Social with people of every age, and gets along with cats and dogs of all sizes.  And, of course, he’s house-trained.  Sound perfect?  Well, nearly…Ruger doesn't like to be left alone in the house, but if there is another dog in residence, however, he is okay as long as they are together when the house is otherwise empty.  Ruger is a perfect passenger in the car (never a backseat driver) and hopes to accompany you to Home Depot or your favorite patio restaurant.  All he wants in return is your companionship and affection.
